Called on phone said my copay would be $45.00 for eye exam but that they didn't use Humana for the glasses just Humana for ece exam. Few days get a $120.00 bill from them now the story is that they file on Humana medical which no medical works was done just eye exam. But never told me up front. Loved the Dr. And all the people but cannot use someone that doesn't tell me the truth. So get it on paper what the charges are going to be. Now instead of copay of 45 will be $165.00
For 5 years they have been great BUT now I cannot recommend them. I spent $500 for glasses. I had to go back a week later for adjustment in bifocal line. He said he was sorry it took so long because the lens kept popping out. No problem. Then last week i took them in again because both lenses kept popping out. I was told someone had stepped on them and they would not fix them. Here is the problem, I didn't step on them. My 45 yr son says he didn't step on them and I really doubt my 22 pound dog did. Dr. Benders office was excellent. The best eye care that I have ever received. They worked me in and I was out quickly. Only problem I had was my GPS did not direct me the to the right place, but I called the office and they gave me perfect directions.
Went in with a metal splinter in my eye, the ladies working in the front were very nice and worked urgently to get me through to the doc, doctor Childers got me took care of, he was very informative on my situation and very respectful. If im ever in need of eye care and im in the area im definitely going back to Bender Eye Care!
