Kateryna Bakay aka Kat, is one of the best physical therapists I know (as a PT and as a patient with many sports related injuries I know quite a few). Her combination of expertise in orthopedics and functional movement combined with her intuitive and inquisitive self allows her to evaluate and problem solve quickly and efficiently when it comes to getting a patient back on their feet. She incorporates Pilates training and the use of the Oov Apparatus (device that allows movement in 3 different planes) advanced neural integra... read more
My progress was at a plateau with my regular PT. I was craving more challenge in my recovery from hamstring repair but wanted to do it safely. Kat designed a program for me and it wasn’t long before I broke through a final stage of recovery and am now able to do the activities before my hamstring surgery. I’ll be back if I need her again for another injury. Highly recommended!
I have worked with Kat for the last 10 years for rehabbing multiple different sports injuries from runners knee, ankle tears, shoulder mobility imbalance to wrist mobility and everything in between. My experience working with Kat was healing and validating. She is an expert at what she does yet also very curious and passionate; she continues to learn in her own field, she tries new techniques or ideas to help you, listens and modifies when things don't work, and can read your body really well. She gave me many exercises I can level up or down to minimize my chronic pain and that require few or no props, and I felt supported and validated in every interaction. I highly recommend Kat and wish she were still in Seattle.
Always love the passion for wellness that is communicated with the Bend & Stretch team!! We highly recomend.
