Overall, I’d say the unit was a good deal, especially since we only needed one night. The location was easily the best part. We were right along the Deschutes River with immediate access to the walking and bike trails, and it was incredibly peaceful. Stayed here at the recommendation of a family member, and was really looking forward to a relaxing vacation especially given the location! But upon arriving we were immediately hit with the intense smell of urine when entering the condo. The front desk host was reluctant to accept this fact, but one of the housekeepers who cleaned the room earlier in the day agreed that she, too, had smelled the urine and forgot to inform anyone. We booked our visit through Airbnb, and unfortunately there were serious issues with our stay. The place wasn’t clean, so we were waiting until morning to let the host know, but then our daughter stepped on a pile of broken glass left on the floor and she cut her foot open. When we were wiping her blood off the floor, the wipe was filthy. Then we inspected the entire place to see how dirty it was, and we found trash underneath the couch, hair in the bathtub, grime on the kitchen counter, and dirty bed sheets. Great view but needs some updates. This is unit 300. Bugs, cobwebs in sliding door. Carpet needs cleaning. Refrigerator needs update. Shower looks pretty icky. At least upgrade the cheap plastic liner to a fabric one and put in a shower mat to cover the ugliness.
Terrible experience. The room was filled with mold, stains, pubic hair all over the tub. We left immediately and didn’t stay. The rental company offered a refund. Then would not answer any communication after. Had to do a chargeback with credit card and took months to get over $1k back. They reposted the condo for rent that same weekend immediately after my reservation canceled.
