Awful place to work. The residents are friendly and welcoming. I have dedicated my days off to help with the staff shortage and I have not gotten paid all my money as agreed at the hiring process. I have been giving the cold shoulder and expectation to not complain about the remainder of my pay. If any of the administration salaries was ever compromised it would have been the same situation. They take care of the residents as if they are thier own family members. They are so compassionate and helpful, and most importantly attentive. They will call you if they observe the slightest changes (both physical or mental) If you have a request they do what they can to make it happen. You will not find a more knowlegable trained and loving staff in the region, especially during this Covid pandemic.
My parents have lived at Ridgefield Crossings for 3.5 years, although they reside in separate units due to my mom's advanced dementia. Over the years, we have had many positive interactions with personnel from all areas, including housekeeping, resident care aids, nursing, maintenance, dining, activities, administration, and management. They are all true professionals who are there to make the lives of their residents (and ultimately their family members) easier. My mom's been at Ridgefield Harbor for 4 months and she couldn't be happier: the staff are incredibly caring and attentive - they engage her in activities throughout the day every day, and give her a regular dose of warm hugs that make her feel valued and loved. The events for family are wonderful too - they give us a chance to get to know the staff and mom's friends, as well as meet other families whose parents are in a similar stage. It's a truly remarkable place; cannot recommend it more highly!
