Stopped by Ben & Jerry’s last night with a friend visiting from out of town. She’d never tried it before, so I thought, how bad could ice cream go? Well… apparently, very. Before we even ordered, the employee, thick Russian accent, thicker attitude, looked at us like we’d just ruined her day by existing. I've been here a few times and every time the shop is empty so there's no wait. They always have a few non-dairy / vegan options. I got the Mochaccino Chip this past visit and it was excellent! And I don't believe they have an upcharge for non-dairy. They have sorbets too. Yes, it's pricey but that's all ice cream shops these days. Getting an ice cream at the beach is a special treat.
The staff here are absolute heroes. We brought in our three kids, and they were patient and friendly through the entire process, even with the inevitable indecision over flavors and the request for "just one more tiny sample." They handled the chaos with smiles and were so genuinely kind. It's truly rare to find this level of amazing service in a high-traffic spot. If you have kids and need a sweet treat, this is the place to go! The ice cream is great, but the service is what earned this five stars.
visited last night with a friend who was here on vacation. She had never tried B&J’s, so we decided to walk in so she could experience it. Before we even placed an order, the employee, who spoke with a strong Russian accent, addressed us in an extremely rude and impatient manner. I have never been treated with such discourtesy.
