They charged my 85 year old mother $4000 to replace her 50 gallon electric water heater. The tank itself was $2500 and they charged $250 to move her dryer out of the way and $250 for connection hoses, $120 for the pan, and $240 for secondary assistance. When I question the ethics of the cost, more than double what it cost me to have commercial hot water heater installed at my business, they said that “she signed off on it”. This place doesn’t charge by the hour. They charge however much they feel like they can get away with charging. They charged a $69 service call fee, $230 to change a hose bib that is $30. Okay, you gotta make money or you won’t stay in business. They charged $413 to replace a flexible gas line to the furnace with black pipe. This prob took less than 1.5 hours and $25 in materials.
