people who really care What a wonderful staff. Both Dr. Matthews and Tuthill are just the most helpful pair i've ever come across. Everyone is kind and takes the time to explain things to you in detail. I would highly recommend this place in case of an emergency.
Great care and follow-up Recently I had a very sick cat and the vet was great. Took wonderful care of my pet and called to follow up even though he knew I took the cat to our regular vet for follow-up work that was needed. To those who read the negative comments be aware that the current vet took over the practice recently and has worked hard to turn the practice and reputation around. Compared to the other emergency centers around they are the best priced to walk through the door. Would definitely use them again
Thank you Dr. Mathews at Beltway Emergency Hospital Dr. Madhu Mathews was AMAZING with my very sick kitten! He was so kind and made sure I understood the science behind my kitten's infection. He was extremely reassuring and looked out for the best interest of my kitten and charged less than half of what the regular vet wanted during a previous visit for the same testing. My kitten was instantly on the road to recovery with his new medicine, while previous vets had had trouble even diagnosing him.
Good service I was worried about taking my dog here after my best friend had a bad experience with them. However the staff was extremely kind. I have had to go there twice in the last year for my 2 chihuahuas having different issues. I have also been able to call them in the middle of the night and get advice on various things. My business checks would never work on the telecheck machine but they always took them, and when one of the checks bounced they were very understanding and told me they would still accept them. I was ... read more
Most caring people... My dog needed surgery because he had something stuck in his intestines. I had been to two other emergency clinics in the area that were cold and impersonal because I couldn't afford almost $3000 for lots of tests and the surgery. The doctors and staff at Beltway were kind and caring. The experienced doctor there said my pup was not too sick yet, but really did need to have surgery, and he didn't need to run expensive tests to tell me that. They talked with me about how much I could afford and thought it... read more
Great Hospital! I brought my dog in to Beltway and had a great experience. I have been to other emergency hospitals before and felt like I was just a number. At Beltway the doctors take the time to explain exactly what is wrong with your pet and how to correct the problem. The prices were much cheaper than other hospitals as well! The staff was amazing and you couldn't find better care for your pet!
Dog Killers The worste place in the world. I took my pregnant pure breed cocker spaniel here at 1am with a puppy hanging out of her. They removed the puppy and refused treatment without payment first. Because I had no access to $900 dollars at 1am. I promissed that I would pay in full in the morning. They refused and let my dog set in the hospital as they watched puppies die inside of her. She also almost lost her life. Thank god for the real vet that I was able to rush her to for emergency surgery at 7am. She however still ... read more
horrible I had to take my puppy here in the middle of the night for seizures (from hypoglycemia, diagnosed later at a better vet) and I was in tears when I arrived. The receptionist was kind and understanding but the doctor was cold and harsh. She asked "how much did you pay for that dog?" and when I told her she replied "oh my god! you need to return it, it's sick and not worth it." That's the last thing I wanted to hear from the person I expected to save his life. The bill was outrageous and she didn't even make the right ... read more
Recommend It was a great staff so in love with all their pet patients. The store was rather small for seating area to wait. But it outweighed the love that was shown to our dear and beloved dog. THey really took the best care and gave us all the options of the outcome of his situation. It really broke our hearts knowing that last night we collected the dogs remains. It was after hours on a holiday weekend and they worked us in!
