I had an initial appointment with Dr. Beltran today and not only did he take a full 30 minutes to talk to my husband and I, he did not pre-judge me as my previous neurologist did. I am a retired professional person and even though he did not have my records yet from my prior neurologist, he developed a plan of action to get things going. His bedside manner was great and he answered all my questions and listened to my concerns
Very unhappy with his response to my wife .. she as been waiting to see him in the hospital now for two days .
Dr. Beltran pretty much save my life he diagnosed me with Guillain-Barré syndrome when no one else would listen. I had visited the hospital 4 times before going to him and after a spinal tap he concluded With his diagnosis. I spent the next 26 days in hospital with him treating me. This happened in the year 2000 and I’ve been going to him for checkups yearly. I think he is a very good doctor and would recommend him to anybody
I was a patient of Dr. Beltran's for years for "migraine" headaches. Dr. Beltran dismissed me as a patient after I inquired about having an MRI done, per the recommended of my son's geneticist and neurologist at Boston Children's Hospital, after Beltran said that my previous CT was fine although he had no idea what was causing my headaches or why I wasn't responding to medication. I did end up having the MRI ordered thru my pcp after my dismissal; I was diagnosed with Chiari 1 Malformation and I will be having brain surgery ... read more
Very arrogant and condescending! Barely spent any time listening to my symptoms and why my Dr sent me for a second opinion on a MRI reading for MS He made me feel like I was stupid for even requesting the MRI with contrast that he was due to review. He was very unprofessional. Long story short I tried to reason with him and explain and ended up leaving because I was so upset and unwelcomed. Dr. Beltran is less than welcoming. His bedside manner is sub par and when questioned he throws his education at you. I feel like he doesn’t listen, and doesn’t care to listen.
I do not recommend Dr. Beltran as a doctor for Multiple Sclerosis. His knowledge and treatment is poor regarding this disease.
