Dr saxe threaten i would wake up in icu intubated because his nurse give me a tums- he said this to the nurse and I right before surgery. I woke up intubated unable to breathe, dr saxe looks not concerned. He compares me to a puffer fish while speaking to others in the room. I don’t know how worthwhile this review is—if you have an emergency surgery at PeaceHealth, you don’t exactly get to choose who provides your anesthesia. But in case you ever find yourself dealing with Bellingham Anesthesia Associates or a similar billing situation, I want to share my experience. I had an emergency surgery on February 15, 2021, and was granted financial assistance through PeaceHealth. Everything else—even contracted services like Northwest Radiology—was covered, so I assumed anesthesia would be covered too. ... read more
Refused to offer financial assistance because and i quote "the doctor is self employed and can make any rules they want." I was not informed by skagit regional a sub contractor would oversee anesthesia and that Id be responsible for that bill. When trying to settle the bill by applying for financial assistance i was informed that because they chose to discount some themselves after my insurance paid there portion no further financial assistance can be given and i have until the third bill to pay or be sent to collections.
I've called them many times to correct the issue but after months of stubbornly trying to bill me directly and not resolve the issue they just send it to collections. Maybe they have a friend in collections who gets a cut or a kickback for the surgeons who select them? I just cant fathom how they operate so cruelly. I've never had an experience like this.
