Dear god, listen to me and the others who say STAY AWAY FROM BELLHOP. First thing's first - my movers Micah and Lawrence were great. They were kind and efficient and completely helpful to me in my state of overwhelm. The two hours they spent helping me finish a move mattered greatly, and I'd be happy to hire either one of them again outside of Bellhop. The movers are not the issue. Bellhop is. Just DONT DO IT! I moved from Ohio to Phoenix with Bellhop. During the move they caused over ten thousand dollars in damage to my furniture. I have the pictures to prove it. They asked for lots of documentation of the damaged items which I provided. In turn they offered me a settlement of $378.48. They have some stupid system where they pay for damaged items by weight. Here is an examples - Teak Bench: @70 pounds * 0.60/pound = $42.00 (the bench cost over $1500), or my brand new dining room table - Dining Table: @100 pounds ... read more
