This is a great place to visit to see the reality of being a coal miner in Southern Alberta before coal mining stopped. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The mine itself felt safe and we got to see examples of all sorts of things associated with mining. The lantern demonstration was especially impactful. Believe them when they say it is chilly in the mine. Well worth the time and money.
Had such a blast visiting the mine this past month. We were lucky enough to tour it as it was the day before the closed for the winter. Our tour guide was AMAZING. She was the star of the tour. Me and my fiance said all the information she has really made it an experience. We love watching mining shows so touring a coal mine was so fun!

My girlfriend and I came down for the 8:00 dark history tour and had an AMAZING time. Ali did such a wonderful job of setting the scene, she really brought the stories and folklore which surrounds mining to life in such an authentic way. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for evening activities throughout the month of October!
