To borrow a phrase from the late, great Jack Buck, I can't believe what I just heard. An incredible concert from start to finish. The young stars were amazing as usual. (I had barely graduated from Flutophone when I was 10 and here Cindy Yan had her fingers adeptly flying through a Haydn concerto vivace.) The adult soloists were equally superb with Valentina even bringing some of the crowd to its feet after the first thrilling movement. I have played with three groups at this hall. I started with the Youth orchestra with Dr.Burke and did a joint concert with the senior orchestra with Mr.Howard. I also played a concert as a flute with the senior orchestra. I have also played in the summer orchestra and now I am a member of the Belleville community band. This is a wonderful hall with wonderful people.
