Beware - Do not sign so called "contract" – BEWARE!!! I purchased a designer bridal gown with Belle Vie Bridal for my wedding on April 28th, 2012. It was a total nightmare!! After the dress arrived, and being switched from the orignal rep I worked with, I was told that Vera, who worked with Belle Vie, would be fitting my gown. What a shame! – When I came and found my dress things went well enough. I never got offered any champagne though! It all went down later with alterations, missing dress and lack of customer service. It was the only issue I had planning my wedding...but as I tild them, once they have your money...beware!
I wish I hadn't wasted my time.... – After hearing great things from a friend, I decided to go to Belle Vie after I had gone to a few other bridal shops. I was expecting a great experience given the high end gowns they carry- wrong. I came about 10-15 minutes early for my appt and was actually asked to LEAVE and come back promptly for my appt time as they really stuck to a schedule. If there was a no stars option they would get it – Warning!!!! Do not go here. I was greeted by great sales people so I guess they can get that star. I was told the price of my gown was one price then they changed it on me when they saw I liked it. I bought this gown because I really liked it. The owner changed the price. I though the gown was new but my seamstress said it had been worn. I returned it. Later I found out I was charged a fee without my authorization. The owner thinks she can charge people as she please. A wonderful experience! – I loved Belle Vie. Jessica, my sales person, made me feel like a princess from the very moment we walked in. They treated me and my mom like royalty. I bought the most beautiful Anne Barge gown and Justina McCaffery veil to go with it. I also bought a gorgeous hair clip. The great thing about Belle Vie is they let you browse the racks for your perfect dress, rather than bring you dresses that are no where near what you had in mind. HORRIFIC Experience – I ordered my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and invitations from this store and it turned out to be a NIGHTMARE. First, they messed up my bridesmaid dress order - charged the bridesmaids different amounts, after many requests they still refused to send me confirmations of orders and then 5 weeks afterwards told me that the pink color I had selected and paid for was no longer a color option. Nice store, average selection, snotty sales people – I did not enjoy my search for the perfect wedding gown when I was at Belle Vie. The sales people made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt like they were trying too hard to convince me to buy a dress. They didn't have a huge selection compared to other bridal boutiques downtown, but they let you browse the racks so that was nice. The Worst Experience of all my Wedding Preparation – The salon was very friendly the first day. As soon as I signed my life away on the contract with too many restrictions to name them all - a few include demanding you pay 100% of the dress before you are permitted to "view it"; 100% of bridesmaids dresses paid up front - no guarantee on delivery dates, etc it was downhill. Wonderful – This is a great store, with a great atmosphere! The staff really go out of their way to make you feel like a princess, and the dresses are fantastic! I can't say enough wonderful things about this store, and their service. I highly recommend this store if you are hunting for a wedding dress.
