I was obligated to take a medication that caused me headaches every day. When reporting these headaches the provider seemed dumbfounded and blamed them on stress, when in fact it was a direct cause of the mediation. When asking to switch to a similar medication the provider said "I don't prescribe that". In a career where you vow to cause no harm to patients but do so based on a biased opinion it creates a lack of trust for patients trying to take care of their health and bodies. Suffered from headaches daily due to not having the proper medication. Provider would not change the medication back to medication that did not cause side effects. I felt this was from being stigmatized and lacking experience with medication.
No compassion or trust with providers.
