I visited Bella Trattoria at the Mission Inn in Riverside on July 4th, and it was a beautiful evening. We began with handmade meatballs and a Caprese salad featuring heirloom tomatoes and burrata mozzarella, both appetizers were fresh and full of flavor. Disappointing, and not what I'd call Italian cuisine. I don't have a photo, but even visually, the food looked unappealing and unappetizing. We ordered one appetizer: tomato bruschetta (a bit heavy on the garlic, but edible). Then two spaghetti dishes with tomato sauce, one with meatballs and one with chicken. With there on Mothers Day first thing I noticed were the glasses for the water did not look the cleanest and the plates also were not clean. No complantary bread and the waitress was checked all the way out had to ask for water and for it to be only 5 they were already out of the chicken parmesan!! The spaghetti tasted like it was straight out of the can! And when I asked for cheese the waitress took so long I just ate it as is. This place is badly in need of new management!
