Beautiful setting, poor food. We split the Chicken Parmesan. Chicken was very chewy, pasta over cooked and sauce tasted like it was out of a can. Bread was good, but was an extra $16. Do not recommend. Gal serving us was kind, it's not her fault the food was not good.

I had the chicken parm. Chicken was good but the pasta tasted like it came from a box and the sauce like it came from a can. Same thing with the bread. Nothing tasted like how it was priced. I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

I visited Bella Trattoria at the Mission Inn in Riverside on July 4th, and it was a beautiful evening. We began with handmade meatballs and a Caprese salad featuring heirloom tomatoes and burrata mozzarella, both appetizers were fresh and full of flavor. For our main courses, I had the lasagna and my friend ordered the spaghetti Bolognese, both were cooked to perfection with rich, comforting flavors. Disappointing, and not what I'd call Italian cuisine. I don't have a photo, but even visually, the food looked unappealing and unappetizing. We ordered one appetizer: tomato bruschetta (a bit heavy on the garlic, but edible). Then two spaghetti dishes with tomato sauce, one with meatballs and one with chicken. Both shared the same base, as if they came from the same pan—not a classic tomato sauce, but a tan-colored vegetable sauce that tasted like zucchini purée.
