We stopped in at the end of the weekend at the National Harbor. Short drive across the bridge. They had an AMAZING Groupon deal. Ordered Caprese, Chicken Parm, Trio Ravioli, Chicken Marsala, Canoli, Lemoncello Cake, Tiramisu. Free bread and salad. No complaints. Excellent service.
Service was wonderful and charming, and the food was great. What I liked most was the 'home-cooked' taste. It wasn't perfect but at the same time the food didn't taste pre-packaged, and you could tell it wasn't made from some instruction pamphlet. The imperfections were perfect.
Food is not anywhere close to authentic Italian food. Pasta was ultra watery. Fish was over cooked. Bread was old and flavorless. Wont return. Nice employees though!
This place is a hidden treasure. Even though I have moved away from the DMV area, I always stop back for the owner's hospitality, great classic dishes, and the BEST sangria.
