Although we had a confirmed reservation for tonight, the restaurant is closed. There is no sign on the door apologizing/explaining, and nobody reached out.
Disappointing - This was easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in the past 10 years. We were seated at 5:45 p.m. and waited about 10 minutes before a server approached our table—even though only three tables in the entire restaurant were occupied. I ordered the steak au poivre, but what arrived was a hanger steak with an unremarkable cream sauce. Unfortunately, this is no longer the same Belfre of the past. Something happened with the new ownership. We were there at 6:00 on a Friday night and it was completely dead. I wish we had the foresight to take this as a sign and leave. Our server was friendly but not very polished or refined. We ordered the foccacia bread for an appetizer and it was sliced bread with cheese melted in the microwave on top. Very disappointing service! We left after undertrained staff experience! Place has few patrons while other area spots are full and we know why! Delafield has more discerning taste than this! Step it up!
We had dinner there on 8/19/2026. The food was decent but they were out of both sweet and unsweetened Ice tea. Their website shows a different menu than what is actually on the menu. They also charge $ 6.24 per can of Diet Coke that is truly outrageous. Won't ever go back
