We had a flood upstairs on the mainland floor bathroom and it leaked into the basement the drywall had to be replaced in the bathroom and basement ceiling i would have given 5 stars they did an amazing job i get it's a insurance job the only inconvenience was it to them 5 days they would come every second day to do it we couldn't use our kitchen for those days the job could have been done in 3 days max don't get me wrong the guys did a great job and went above and beyond painting the kitchen and the dining room area and the ... read more
I have a couple scenarios to rate Balfor on. First, we previously had a flood a year or so before this flood and we were extremely happy with that company. So on to this flood. It was more extreme, it happened Oct 19 during the atmospheric rainfall. My understanding was there had been several millions of dollars damage to homes just in the Surrey area which included homes on our street. Our insurance assigned Balfor this time. Extremely slow, nothing is getting done. Tree fell on my house in December. Insurance has been good about reimbursing me after getting my own contractors to do some of the work that needed to be done (fence replacement, stump removal, tree removal). They hired Belfor to do the roof repair work. It's not even a huge job they just have to replace the fascia board and fix a couple roof tiles. No one is coming to do the work. Absolutely ridiculous! I had a flood in my basement, belfor showed up and dropped off some heavy duty fans, then never returned. I waited weeks and nothing. So I was forced to move forward with another restoration company because I couldn’t stand the heat and mould smell any longer. If I could rate less than one star, I would.
