AS OF JUNE 1ST THIS MOTEL IS CLOSED. They have a sign on the door thanking clients for their business over the years.
When I worked summers in the area for Ferry Morse Seed, I stayed here because it was affordable. It is not the greatest place and the staff were prickly, but the view was amazing and having The Van's Restaurant (now closed) right above was just incredible. I would stay for about two months, so when I first checked in, I would thoroughly clean the room spotless like my own home. I would even rent a carpet cleaner and move the bed and everything. My favorite hangout place..Great staff and good rates...Lots of restaurants to walk to and a Safeway, too.
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was average. Definitely not a high end motel. Stephanie at the front desk is a "breath of fresh air". I would go back just to see her again. If all motels had a Stephanie working for them, they would all be better off. Thanks Steph! You really went out of your way to make my stay memorable.
It's usually quiet here, I keep coming back because it feels like home.
