Dr. Farivar is kind, compassionate, and a leader in his field. He has earned my complete trust by thoroughly explaining all aspects in understandable terms. He paints a clear picture of the plan of care, and ensures everything is understood.
Greatest Vascular surgery doctor in the state of Virginia (in my opinion). Takes care of his staff daily, very knowledgeable and listens to not only his staff but breaks down care plans for patients so they can understand fully what is involved with their care. I've never met a surgeon that goes above and beyond more than Dr. Farivar. He is a treasure at UVA hospital.
Doesn't seem to care about my problem. He spent less than 2 minutes with me.. i think his mind was made up before I drove over two hours for visit. His coordinator called me two weeks before hand to discourageme from coming.. She should have told me straight up that I wasn't important enough to be seen by Dr Farivar.
Dr. Farivar surgically performed Aneurysm Bypass in Left Common Carotid Artery for my 28yr old Daughter while at Cleveland Clinic (Ohio) 4/6/'18. His Bypass Skills Saved my Daughter's life. If the Bypass had been Unsuccessful, Cardio Thoracic Surgery to Bypass Aneurysm in Aortic Arch on Monday, 4/9/'18 could not have been done. I am very Grateful to Dr. Behzad Farivar.
