Just a few days in this hell-hole wrecked me. This has to be the worst psych ward in this country. I've never experienced just a lack of empathy in all my life. I left here with a UTI, Jock itch, and athlete's foot due to their disgusting sanitary practices. 90% of these people are absolutely miserable. We need MUCH better mental health care in Northwest Indiana.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. THIS UNIT IS A SCAM. They manipulate their patients so they can collect insurance money. Communication is all over the place. No one knows what the hell is going on. They threaten patients they will be there longer if they don’t want to take the medications. They take visitation hours away from your loved one if you ask questions. They treat their patients like prisoners. Who wouldn’t be depressed in a situation like that?!?
