A+E is superb. Three experiences there since Sep '25 and cannot be faulted. Unfortunately, the most recent time I had to be admitted to the surgical ward. What a disgraceful place. A few VERY GOOD nurses do their best [and advocate for the patient] but beyond those few it was like the punishment ward from a Solzhenytsin novel. Cruelty abounds, carelessness even more so. The maternity team at SERH have been absolutely amazing. The midwives, obstetricians and surgery team displayed an incredible degree of knowledge, kindness and compassion during our stay. I would say Bega Hospital is a fantastic place to have a baby!

After breaking my wrist I was sent to Bega for surgery. The whole experience from the admissions team, to the drs, surgical nurses, ward nurses, the fracture clinic nurses and physio, was very positive. My day surgery turned into an overnight stay due to my anxiety and uncontrolled pain. It was deemed unsafe for me to leave, so the staff rallied to find me a bed for the night. I was treated with dignity, with utmost respect and felt cared for and safe during my stay and subsequent visit. Thank you to all the staff.

Our granddaughter was stuck down with illness in merimbula, the ambulance was very timely and great guys, the hospital staff both in emergency and children's were very pleasant and caring. Thank you all she is real well now.
