I absolutely love this place! Dr. Hardymon is fantastic and has always treated me and my little one with respect and compassion. I had problems with my previous vet at Oakbrook so I decided to give Bees Ferry Veterinary a try and I'm very glad I did. Dr. Hardymon kept me updated on everything that was going on the day my dog had surgery. She fixed my little one and I am so very thankful she is back to her old self. Thank you so much!

My dogs have been going to Bees Ferry for almost 12 years. I live about 30 minutes away and at times wonder why I don't take them someplace closer. But every time I leave, I remember why we make the trip. ALL of the doctors and staff are amazing - knowledgable, compassionate and accessible. I can't imagine going through the ups and downs of having a dog without this incredible group of people. No question or problem is too small, and the quality of care is the best in Charleston. My dogs and I are so thankful for all they do... read more

I have been taking my furrbabies to Bees Ferry Vet for a few years, but this is the first time I have written a review. I wouldn't want to take them any where else. Just today, I had to bring my cat in last minute for an ear infection. They were able to squeeze me in to an already booked doctor's schedule. Everyone was so nice and attentive. And the best part, I was seen right away. We lost our dog last year, and the doctors and staff went above and beyond to help us with her treatments. And they grieved with us when we had ... read more

Terrible Business and NO LOVE FOR ANIMALS!!! Don't let the phony "ooh, hear listen to your little darling's heartbeat through my stethoscope" fool you. After horribly misdiagnosing my sheltie and sending me to have her fixed at an emergency clinic because they didn't think she'd make it through the weekend. It turned out, a simple thyroid test would have revealed that she was suffering from hypothyroidism. Also being the only pharmacy in the area who has the medication she needs in stock, they will not sell it to me because ... read more

Business response:

We are sorry that the state veterinary board prevents us from dispensing medications to pets whom we have not seen within the past year. Our records show that we have not seen your pet since 2009. Can you have your veterinarian contact us to see if we can coordinate with them to get you what you need?

I am one of those annoying pet owners who can find something wrong with any vet, but I was extremely impressed with Bees Ferry! Dr. Saenger and Kaylyn (the nurse) were both very friendly and knowledgeable. My cat, Bub, enjoyed the cat nip :) Will be heading back there in a few weeks to get my kitty's T4 checked & I will definitely request to see Dr. Saenger.

Brought my hedgehog in today for her first checkup and I am so impressed. Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable, professional and you can tell they really love animals. The prices are great too. I definitely will be back and would recommend them to anyone. Especially someone with a hedgehog.

Keeper of the Wild got in an injured opossum today. I was meeting another rehabber to check this precious girl over to see how bad her injuries were. We met at a nearby vet clinic. All I needed was to get this girl some sub q fluids and some vitamin k injcectable. I did not need to see a vet. This clinic wouldn't give me the time of day. I drove across the road, and staff and vet rolled out the red carpet for this opossum. They set me up in a room, gave me the meds I asked for and was happy to help! They are a drop off site ... read more
