I should have checked the reviews before buying beer here. First, they sold beer 2 months after its purchase date. Second, when I compared prices it is 2x more expensive than other beer stores. I learned my lesson to check before swiping my card. There are a lot of better and fair stores in Astoria.
avoid this place at all cost. on top of their wildly high prices, the main clerk is a manipulative and disrespectful person. i've been coming here for MONTHS, and this dude tried charging me a $1 fee after i was short 20 cents the day prior for a purchase, which he said was fine and I could give to him the next day. Every single item in this place is over priced, and on top of this, the place smells disgusting. Avoid, do not bother; go down the block to another spot that won't rip you off or smell like cat piss.
Went to buy a 4-pack of porter and every brand of beer I picked up was at least 4 months past its sell-by date. Also no prices on anything.
Don’t ever go here - they have a card scanner on either their payment machine or ATM. I stopped here when I was biking home from Queens to my apartment in Brooklyn and grab two beers and saw they have an ATM. I needed to pay my childcare and it dawned on me that I forgot to take cash out to do that so I used the ATM then paid for the beers. I never use any ATM other than my banks ATM and the day I was here I had not used my debit card for three days and all the way up to the point someone stole money from my bank account.
