I want to take a minute and give a shoutout to Bee Hive Homes of Oxford. Each night when I leave after I visit with Shelby Baker, I see this sign, and I find peace because I know she is in excellent hands. I know Shelby is well cared for, and in turn, I, too, can get some rest. I was her caregiver for many years, and she began needing more care than I could give her. After careful consideration of several places, our family decided The Bee Hive Homes of Oxford was the place for our mother. Well into her nineties, the smaller size and more home-like atmosphere of The Bee Hive seemed to be far more suited to her - - not overwhelming and not institutional or extravagant. We love the BeeHive Homes of Oxford. I have been the sole caregiver for my mom for many years. Her need for care increased beyond my abilities, and thankfully, we found BeeHive. I was told to let them do all of the caregiving, and I could be a daughter. It is such a relief to "just be a daughter" while my mom gets the care she needs and deserves.
