Yay! I love the Beef A Roo on Riverside escpecially. The restaurant's set up is just really neat and they have good tasting food. The fries are what a lot of people know them for. The seasoning they use makes them sooo good! The only negative thing I could say is they are a bit expensive, but the food is really great!
A Trip Down Memory Lane ...or. How I Spent Three Summers One Year. First of all, congratulations to Beef-A-Roo on their 40th Anniversary. Beef-A-Roo is a Rockford-area fixture. Recently I had a Rockford resident at my seafood restaurant in Las Vegas. I said, "You passed on Beef-A-Roo for this?" The best thing about Beef-A-Roo is that it doesn't feel like some of the mega-chains, like McD's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc. It's more homey, if that makes sense. Best Fast Food - No Guilt If there was a place where you could get good fast food without the guilt, Beef-A-Roo is the place! A very clean establishment, friendly crew, and delicious burgers. Of course you have to have the cheese fries. On the lighter salad, the salads are fresh and generous in portion.
Where it's at!!! Beef- A- Roo whether you are out on State or visiting South Alpine- is worth the trip!!! Boasting delicous burgers, fries and shakes- with that old-school diner feel is something to try!!! Every time we visit Rockford we make sure to get in a trip to Beef-A-Roo!!
