Wonderful visit!
You owe it to yourself to experience this place. Camp is remote but close enough to a town for supplies. Easy to navigate to using google maps and site itself is well sign-posted. Forest was genuinely the nicest bloke we met on our vac, so down to earth and generous in giving us a load of recommendations on things to do/see during our short stay. Site and facilities are immaculate (cabins and bathrooms), with everything you’d need. Firepit and communal area looked great, we were on our own but imagine it’d be a great hangout... read more
Bikebacked to the high camp. The website had excellent instructions for biking in the area and Forest took the time to give helpful, personalized advice for getting the route right. We highly appreciated this as we were biking in the area for the first time.
Very cool and cute little spot. The cabins are stellar, equipped with everything you need. Beautiful views overlooking the mountains. The bathrooms and showers were spotless and well stocked. Fire pit was magical, we all enjoyed s'mores around the fire, firewood stacked neatly nearby. Along with a torch to start fire, and a bucket of water. Lots of comfortable adirondack chairs and umbrellas for shade. We biked the Beckwourth peak trail, and Mills Valley trails. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a local wedding in Graeagle / Blairsden and absolutely enjoyed the stay. This off-grid tiny-home was exactly what we were looking for to be comfortable but have access to amazing trails & be immersed outdoors. We got to go trail running and hiking from trails leading right from the property - connecting to the local trail network.
