Bikebacked to the high camp. The website had excellent instructions for biking in the area and Forest took the time to give helpful, personalized advice for getting the route right. We highly appreciated this as we were biking in the area for the first time.

Very cool and cute little spot. The cabins are stellar, equipped with everything you need. Beautiful views overlooking the mountains. The bathrooms and showers were spotless and well stocked. Fire pit was magical, we all enjoyed s'mores around the fire, firewood stacked neatly nearby. Along with a torch to start fire, and a bucket of water. Lots of comfortable adirondack chairs and umbrellas for shade. We biked the Beckwourth peak trail, and Mills Valley trails. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a local wedding in Graeagle / Blairsden and absolutely enjoyed the stay. This off-grid tiny-home was exactly what we were looking for to be comfortable but have access to amazing trails & be immersed outdoors. We got to go trail running and hiking from trails leading right from the property - connecting to the local trail network. Beckwourth High Camp was an amazing spot to stay for a bikepacking trip. Forest the host was awesome and made routes for us to optimize our trip. We ride from truckee up to portola on single track he routed us on and had an amazing time. We stayed in the yurt and it was clean, spacious, well stocked and super comfy! It was truly a bikepacking glamping experience.

We really enjoyed our time, the yurt was very comfortable, the biking great, and the hosts very helpful! Even if biking isn’t your thing, High Camp is perfect if you just want to get away from the daily grind but still have the convenience of a town just a few minutes away.
