My baby was eight days old when we visited Dr. Beckman. He did not have a consistent latch and was starting to lose weight, thus we started to bottle feed with donor milk. I was very concerned that he would not want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. I appreciate the services of Beckman & Associates. My daughter and I were having a bit of trouble with nursing and our lactation consultant recommended this office. Everything was very pleasant and I appreciated the warmth and welcoming feeling. We were given exercises to help with strengthening for baby girl. It was quite encouraging when I called back the next day to be able to speak with and get further encouragement with the exercises. Very pleased with our experiment and the results!
My daughter started receiving services through this company in April 2012. Their staff had informed me that I had a $25 co-pay and my insurance company would cover the rest. After 12 visits they told me that my insurance company would NOT cover the therapy costs, and I was handed an invoice for almost $2,000. I would never have started therapy if I had known this upfront. I am now left with a high bill (which I can't afford to pay) and their office is not helping me with my insurance company. We owe a great deal of our sons success to Miss Debra Beckman. Her techniques are innovative, personalized and oriented to what our old child with Down Syndrome needs. Thanks to this combined effort, our son is developing normally in comparison to his typical peers. I strongly recommend Debra Beckman
High therapist turnover rate. Within 3 months my child had 4 different therapists. The office staff was rude and on several occasions they double booked by session with another client, which I was extremely annoyed about as I had to do a group session even though I was charged for an individual session. I would never go back
My son has a food aversion and simply refused to eat quite literally anything. Concerned and desperate I called for an evaluation. I was put in right away. Office is super clean, staff is always nice and helpful, they always remember my son and greet him, and I've never waited hours in the waiting room. I love this place and my experience there. They were delicate, patient, not forceful, showed me techniques to do at home, provided tools to use, and w/ in just a few weeks my son gained the strength back in his mouth muscles.... read more
