I hired Becker Law Firm in an emergency custody situation and paid a $4,500 retainer through Affirm on February 24, 2025. The very next day, I canceled services after the legal issue was resolved. The attorney confirmed in writing that they would stop work and refund my retainer minus minimal fees. Despite this, they never issued a refund. Instead, they later billed me $535.25, including a $222.75 “transaction fee” that was never disclosed or agreed upon. Good luck…Don’t work here unless you want to be mistreated and undervalued. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend my family or friends here.
Stay far away from this firm if you value your financial future. She and the representatives of her firm poorly communicate, will stand you up for court dates, and will definitely gatekeep information from you the client. Do not hand her a dime. If your doodle search for legal representation has brought you here please shop elsewhere. You’ll sleep better knowing you weren’t taken advantage of.
I highly recommend this firm. Like any other business, they’ve had some staffing changes - some that even affected me; however, they made sure that it didn’t affect my case. They represented me for over a year and a half. There were times that I felt hopeless, like my case was just lingering and I wasn’t getting the results I wanted but, in the end, it all worked out. Hopefully I don’t need their services in the future but if I do - I’ll call Mrs. Becker immediately!
I hired them a year ago, only got one phone call to make a payment in full and send information to them and when I call to talk to them they want same information and charge me more money just to have a conversation about the same thing . I pretty much done got robbed and the sad thing about it is that was money I didnt have I used a credit card because I was in a situation. I’m sorry but don’t don’t recommend them cause poor communication and if you need to get in touch with them they charge for that. That’s crazy to me .
