It is a nice swanky little place, the staff was basically attentive, not that we are needy people, but the food was atrocious. $100 ribeye, skip it, it was terrible. It makes no sense to me but 16 of the "24oz" was just fat... the rest was overcooked chewy outside and raw inside. Ive had better $30 ones elsewhere. Potatoes were gummy. Salmon was over salted. We had a great date night. Hannah was a great server! The rib eye was not as tender as you might expect for its price, but the taste of everything was exceptional. The bone marrow was delicious and I loved my salmon!
We Celebrated my sisters 40th Birthday at Beauty & Essex this past Saturday. I will say I was highly disappointed for the price point and of myself with the recommendation for us to dine here. I reached out prior to her husband about accommodations, the response time and communication were excellent. We had a party of 22 in the Locker Room, which is their private dining room. I read some reviews and figured would be good. We went for brunch to celebrate our anniversary. I wanted to order the shrimp and grits but decided not to. The food was amazing I will be ordering the shrimp and grits next time I go. Decor was beautiful, staff was amazing! Pictured-avocado toast, ricotta fritters, BEC sandwich, braised short rib, dirty tots.
We have now been to Beauty and Essex three times and have nothing but praise for the food, staff and elegant ambience. The dishes are creative, artfully presented and uniformly delicious! The service staff could not have been more attentive or accommodating, answering any and all questions we had on some of the eclectic items on the menu.
