Both receptionist were so combative and dismissive. I had a Mallet Finger and tried to get help. I was denied. The Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) requires hospitals that receive Medicare funds to provide a medical screening to determine if an emergency condition exists. I wasn't even given a screening. They advertise they are to be open for emergent orthopedic issues between 5pm and 9pm. But never followed through. They told me to come back during the day. This was my first visit to Oakwood Heritage Hospital, Building 5, and the front desk was very unwelcoming. I was simply trying to explain my referral, but the staff gave me attitude—patients come for care, not rudeness. The doctor, however, was fantastic! I really appreciated the Brazilian doctor’s accent and professionalism. The front desk definitely needs some help to match the quality of care inside.
Went here to get knee surgery in 2019 and everything went great! My knees started hurting again so of course I went back and everything has been going well until now. I been trying to get a refill on script for almost 2 weeks I’ve left several messages my pharmacy even sent over for a refill and I’m just being ignored.
