We were very much surprised by Beaumont, Kansas. It's beauty and charm can't be beat. We stayed in the covered wagon while bicycle touring through the area in October. It was a very nice accommodation; glamping at It's finest. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food was wonderful and the staff very friendly. The biggest thrill was the airplanes coming in on Saturday morning and taxiing through town streets to come to the hotel for breakfast. A 1947 Beechcraft Bonanza came in just at sun up. We had the most amazing stay at the Beaumont Hotel and RV Park! Spending the night in the covered wagon was such a unique and memorable experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the attention to detail was perfect, and the shower was fabulous with plenty of hot water. We especially loved listening to the rain on the wagon roof—it was so peaceful. Jeanne was the perfect hostess, warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived.
