Radiologists here are great, people who answer the phone? Not so much. I’ve currently been waiting for someone to answer the phone for an hour and 13 minutes. They close in 2 minutes so I guess I won’t be at the appointment they say I have tomorrow as I have no memory of making the appointment and no one will answer the phone to remind me.
Call to schedule an MRI. Was on hold for 50 minutes. Called back and the person in general scheduling confirm that no one is answering their phone. saying, “they must be busy.” Everyone is busy. Can’t find someone to answer a phone? Scheduled at Saint Joe’s/Chandler in Bluffton, who provided a very positive experience.
Ridiculous to get an X-ray on Hilton head, 90 minute wait and no X-ray. Horrible staff communication. Tried imagining at Beaufort hospital, doctor called order and called to confirm. I arrive and they don’t have my order
I've previously had good experiences in medical imaging (outpatient) at BMG. HOWEVER, I had a confirmed appointment for a breast ultrasound with a possible aspiration. It was for Wed., 1/22 & it had snowed. I went to the appt having heard NOTHING from imaging staff about closure or rescheduling my appt. I got there & imaging was closed. I spoke with a security guard & she was shocked no one had contacted patients about the closure & rescheduling appts. I tore a muscle in my arm right before Thanksgiving and needed an MRI. With the holiday and short staff they were fully booked and wanted to schedule me 2 weeks out, which ideally too long to wait for my injury. I emailed the patient advocate for BMH and the director of imaging contacted me. The imaging director was able to shift the schedule and get me in the next day. I'm glad he did.
