I am so so impressed with this hospital! I ended up have to have an emergency induction because of preeclampsia, they took it very seriously. I am a first time mom who wanted a natural birth with no Pitocin or epidural so I was extremely upset when I ended up having to have all the things I didn’t want. We welcomed our baby girl here on 1/14/26, and I truly cannot say enough about how incredible our experience was as first-time parents. From the very beginning, the care we received exceeded every expectation. My midwife, Shacola, was nothing short of amazing, as she always is. She communicates so clearly, genuinely loves what she does, and has a way of easing anxiety that feels completely natural and effortless. I had my baby earlier this year with Beaufort birthing center. It did not have the greatest reputation among friends who have lived here for a while and we actually live closer to coastal but the birthing center is more advertised so we commuted to Beaufort. The delivery rooms are large and the night staff who delivered our baby were amazing. It was a sad goodbye but the remaining stay was a nightmare. I had to have an emergency c section, I toured this hospital & received care via Beaufort memorial OBGYN through out my pregnancy. I live in Hilton Head & wanted to make sure I chose the best in the area. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, every single nurse/doctor I met was personable, kind & attentive. I felt so lucky to have help while recovering & know my baby boy was truly cared for. The rooms are also very clean, & updated which made it feel more safe. I had an extremely good experience here with labor and delivery of my son. The nurses were the kindest people I have ever met and were even thoughtful enough to send a card later after we left. This was my second delivery but my first at this location and it was definitely a superior experience by far here. I highly recommend this birthing center! Thank you!
