We love this place! It's a local gem perfect for date nights and letting area tourist see what we have to offer. Beaufort Grocery is nestled in the Historic Downtown area! The food is wonderful and the homemade desserts are always the perfect way to end the meal!
Mediocre Dining, Yet Pricey Both the fish and filet mignon were very much over cooked from our order on Friday evening, July 30th. There were 6 in our party and 4 of us were dissatisfied with our dry, overcooked entrees. We ordered an expensive cabernet savignion which was just awful. It will be a long time before we return to this over-rated establishment.
Superb Beaufort Grocery offers simply superb food in a unique atmosphere. It isn't cheap, but definitely worth the price. The service is outstanding. One time we went the air conditioning was out. It was stifling, but still, worth it!
absolutely wonderful Beaufort Grocery Company is absolutely one of the finest restaurants on Beaufort for fine dining experience. They are a little pricey, but what they give you is outstanding food cooked to perfection. Their chefs do a wonderful job in pleasing both your eyes and tummy!
Unique Dining Nice atmosphere - great food! We dined outside which was very pleasant for late spring weather. The service was wonderful (Lee - our waitress - was awesome) and while the food was all very good, it was very pricey. The menu is unique without being weird. However, we had our kids with us and there really wasn't much for them to choose from - the selections are limited. I would say that Beaufort Grocery would be a great choice for someone who was dining child-free and was not overly concerned about price.
Fabulous Restaurant This is not a grocery store. I know what the name says, but this is a quaint yet elegant little restaurant that has a European flair about the food it serves. Everything is cooked fresh daily. They make the cutest little pastry puffs in the shapes of fish to put as a final top on your dish. You can seat inside or out, but outside you have to content with the neighborhood cats and dogs. Great food – Beaufort Grocery is one of my favorite restaurants on the Crystal Coast! They serve a lighter menu for lunch (one of my favorites is the chicken salad sandwich with apple slices served on a criossant), and more substantial entrees for dinner (including a vegan selection). The atmosphere is charming!
Worth the Drive – This is by far one of the best places to eat in the Morehead / Beaufort area. I went there with my fiancee and his family and we all were completely satisfied with the food. The desserts are out of this world as well. Would go there again ANY day.
