Captain John Blackwater was awesome!! Highly recommend this experience for all ages to enjoy!!
We had a great time touring the town and listening to stories of the spookier history of Beaufort. Our guide was great and was quite the entertaining storyteller and character. This was our second time doing the tour and it was interesting to see how some stories have changed as new things have been learned about old stories and history. We look forward to doing it again in the future.

Capt. John Blackwater was amazing. We had two kids with us (ages 6 and 9) and Blackwater was able to make it kid friendly while still providing us with some spook! We loved hearing about the history of Beaufort and the truth about his friend Blackbeard and pirates as a whole. Would recommend!
Absolutely amazing. Not just something to do while you’re in Beaufort - it’s worth traveling to Beaufort just to do this.
