This tour was amazing, perfect mix of local lore and history. Our "guide for the other side" JOHN BLACKWATER was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Tour moved at a great pace and never had times of empty silence. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in the supernatural or just local history
Captain John Blackwater gave a very informative and enjoyable tour! Despite it being a large group, he did a great job making sure he addressed the entire group so all could hear. I loved all the stories, seeing the houses and also the burial ground. It was an awesome experience!
We had a really great time! My partner and I took our three daughters 10, 9, and 3. Should go without saying that while the rest of us were very interested our 3 year old didn’t really understand. She did, however “like his hat.” The guide was great, he did a great job of directing the group of about 40 people on the tour. We could hear decently well, at times when he was torwards the front end of the group we did have a bit of trouble hearing. We had a fantastic time on the Beaufort Ghost Tour with Captain John Blackwater! He was engaging, knowledgeable, and an excellent storyteller. You can tell he’s truly passionate about Beaufort and its rich history, which made the tour even more enjoyable. It was the perfect mix of history and ghost stories and was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!
