I’ve been looking for a loctitian that was in the Providence area and came across BeauEssence. I had a great experience. Rodlyne communicated well leading up to my appointment. During my appointment she was very thorough and friendly. She gave me a good wash before starting my interlock maintenance. She even worked some magic to help lessen some of the frizz of my locs as they grow. She provided helpful advice and answered any questions I had. I definitely plan on going back.
If you love your natural hair, avoid this place! I would give ZERO stars if I could!! I’m new to Providence and went here twice. The first visit was good, but the second was AWFUL. She canceled my appointment three times the day of the appointment, and when she finally fit me in, she gave me the WORST cut of my life. She even said, "don't cry when you get home," which should have been a red flag. She cut my ends bluntly (which I didn’t ask for) and left the inside layer drastically shorter than the outer. Great Service! My silk press was done as described and my hair felt so soft. The owner provides great tips to manage your hair as well as let's you know what she sees. She's very personable and has a passion for what she does and I love it. I will be returning for more services.
