AVOID!! Do yourself a huge favour and stay elsewhere! We were happy on first view, as there was lots of space in the unit. However, on closer inspection, there were obvious cleanliness issues and so we contacted the host. There were numerous hairs and stains on bed linen, dirty crockery, nowhere near enough towels (just two crusty hand towels for a group of us) and the stench from the bathroom was unbearable! The property itself was lovely but when we arrived we found that there was NO running water to any of the units - although this is very unfortunate and out of the owner’s control (although we later found out that this was an issue with a water pump on the property, not a Thames water issue as we were originally told), we weren’t informed of this at all until we’d already checked in. Not good quality and poor service from owner We arrived to find the property left open with just a bunch of keys on table - no idea what they were all for, one for front door was broken so choose not to use it. First appearances where it was very basic, but seemed clean. On further inspection Everything is run down and starting to break, sockets hanging off walls, odd stains, very thin curtains etc. only 1 toilet roll for 4 bathrooms, toilets often didn’t flush and often backed up. Avoid this place at all cost - it’s not worth the mental stress dealing with a dishonest manager/owner and the lack of communication. Maddison knowingly withheld information about a major water outage affecting the entire area—something reported to Thames Water four days before our arrival. We had no running water (including toilets and showers) for over 18 hours, and her solution was 10L of water for six people for our stay. Having discovered all the ghastly reviews after booking I was a bit apprehensive but we had a great stay. We stayed at number 3 and it was spacious, clean and well equipped (some dishwasher tablets would have been nice though). I had a few queries about the EV charging and Maddy responded quickly and was helpful. There’s nothing in Little Rissington apart from a pretty church so you’re going to have to drive to get anywhere.
