Surperb traditional tearoom and cheerful service
We've been here before and had mixed experiences. We've found that it depends on who the staff are each day. We visited recently on a Tuesday (definitely 5 stars) and received a really warm welcome from a lovely lady who was friendly, she smiled and she made us feel at ease. It was chilly so she made sure the fire was on, the food was lovely and we stayed quite a while having more coffee. However, went again recently on a Thursday to take my elderly mum as we'd had such a lovely time before. Our welcome was very different. W... read more
A first time visit whilst I waited for my car tyres to be replaced down the road in Syston. I had a jacket spud and prawn in Marie rose sauce. The amount of filling was excellent and no shortage of prawns, infact it was generously filled. Coffee was good and the service from the ladies working on the day was really good. Friendly from the moment I entered right through. I would recommend this tearoom / cafe. Better than I have experienced in Syston in a long time.
Quaint tearoom offering s good range of snacks, meals and drknks. The service is wonderful, friendly and efficient. The home-made cakes and scones are just what you need to go with tbe tea served in elegant chinawear. There was a good selection̈ of lunch dishes available that were beautifully and freshly prepared to order. Pretty much the perfect, family-friendly, old English tearoom experience that all want!
