Beard Papa’s is a guilty pleasure of mine and I’ll go out of my way to get my cream puff! I do not live in this area but frequent this mall several times a year. EVERY time I have tried to go in the past year, they are closed during displayed “open hours.” In a previous instance, I’ve eaten an early 6pm dinner at Marugame, turned around to get a Beard Papa’s to see they closed EARLY. Beard Papa’s at the Glendale Galleria is a true dessert gem. Their cream puffs are incredibly fresh — light, crispy on the outside, and filled with the smoothest, richest cream. You can literally taste the difference the moment you take the first bite. The vanilla custard is classic and perfect, but the specialty flavors are amazing too. The are always out of everything. It’s always “we only have what’s displayed” which is one or two flavors max and the same filling for all of them. They recently hired new people too but only the girls are nice. the guys are lazy and behave as if they wish you were not there to BOTHER them. Awful location. It’s a mall and it’s busy but you are telling your customers “you basically have nothing they want” so they have to settle for “what’s left”. Poor management if you ask me.
