We went there and had a very pleasant time. There was no rush, no hard sale tactics. The proprietor gave a short explanation of the works and then said to take our time going through the shop. When we got to the bar area I told him what I liked and did like. He picked out 2 different whiskeys and face me a sample they both were very good but I chose the 46 brand. It was a great time made better by the gentleman that helped us!!
Bear wallow is the oldest distillery in Indiana. Their words. And is tucked away off a small highway off a small road in Brown county near the state park. The area is awesome. The facility is a blend of old style and new productions. Using a pot still (which I like) Bear Wallow is making some stand up rye and bourbons. Definitely worth the stop and see.
Great place nice people
This place was awesome! Female owned for 11years and doing a wonderful job. So very knowledgeable, kind, answering all questions and being so patient with all the questions! Took time to take us back and explain the process.The very best experience, the best whiskey and overall the best late morning excursion had by the three of us friends! Thank you!!
Quaint distillery with very knowledgeable bartender. Definitely make it a “must do” when you are in the area
