Bear Paw is not a loyal, hometown bank. As a member for years, I closed my account on the phone with a gal in Havre, only to get documents to close it 3 weeks later , which I immediately got back. Bear Paw charged over $400 in $20 fees for the weeks I thought the account was closed. They will refund $60. I have taken out and paid back several loans from Bear Paw. They charged me twice for 700$ on my loan saying I don’t have insurance and now they wanna make me jump through hoops to show that I was on insurance I can’t just fax a pic of the identification card...so easy to charge me money but never wanting to help when I want to show them proof. They robbed me of money! I make advance payments on my loan to pay it off quicker like500$ at a time and now they are taking all my payments to pay for charges that I shouldn’t be charged!!!! One gal was nice when I called to do a new car loan, we didn’t end up working with her though. The other gal who we were working with was very short, annoyed, and condescending on the phone anytime that we had a question. I really liked working with Bear Paw before, but I won’t use them again. At one point this girl had me fighting back tears on the phone because she was upset that I didn’t fill out the paperwork right, I don’t do loans everyday and did not mean to fill it out incorrectly. they say they sent me an updated credit card in July. called and they said 7 days you will get new card. 14 days later still no. it will be another 7 days I have to wait for my card. 7 days turned into 21 days. been there since day 1 of this shop and service is starting to suck big time
