Bear Mountain provided quotes for various projects and presented them to me verbally as quotes. Through a DocuSign-type system, I signed the quotes quickly without reviewing them in detail as they were described to "lock in the price." Bear Mountain representatives were unable to explain what the final structure would look like, consistent misrepresentation (representative consistently forgot details about the project), or failure to understand the details of my project; we decided to go with a different contractor. Unfortunately, we are not surprised to see this review - as this Client threatened to leave negative reviews multiple times throughout the project as a negotiating tool for free / discounted work. This Client also became extremely upset and cursed at our employees when told there was additional rotted wood found after the 2nd inspection. Sales team was impressive, upsold me on a long list of items that needed done at my house ... extensive painting, screened porch, etc. He told me during the quote that they charged up to 50% more than other companies, but he sold me on the personal attention and customer service I would receive, including an attentive project manager. Contracted painting services in 8/21 part of a larger neighborhood project.Elected to have window trim repainted, after covering quote with supervisor, all contract points addressed, contract included 3 hours of scraping and removal of old paint, and new application.Old paint from builder never scraped, and they attempted the first coat after a thunderstorm with wet surface. Bear Mountain does not warrant peeling paint that comes down to bare wood because it indicates failure of previous coatings and not the coating Bear Mountain applied. For this client, we indicated that the peeling paint is failing under the original primer coat and Bear Mountain didnt build this house this client will most likely be dealing with this issue from the time he owns the house. Great service , profession job from initial contact to end of project. We have used Bear Mountain for years from inside/ outside painting , deck installation , decorative wood replacement and repair of drainage system .They do MORE than just painting. Thank you Bear Mountain.
