I had an emergency over the weekend and had to take my son to the ER after a minor accident. I was truly impressed with the care we received. The doctor, nurses, and every staff member who helped us were incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. I highly recommend Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. They have an excellent team, great management, and a welcoming environment that makes you feel cared for during a stressful time. Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of my son and our family.

Recently, when my 101 year old mother had to go to the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital by ambulance she received excellent care. Her doctor, Dr. Raynolds worked quickly to find and solve her problem, so she could get well quickly. He spent time encouraging her to get well and went the extra mile to solve problems so she could go home. When it was time to go home, she didn’t have transportation, so Ashley Thornton, her case manager. personally took her and her daughter home. Our experience was a disaster. Went in for a scheduled surgery. We were told to be there at ten. Hadn't eaten or drank anything since 11pm the night before. The nurse didn't seem to be very good at setting up the iv. We were quite surprised she handled everything with ungloved hands. She had to go get another nurse to help her get the iv finished. Then she left. She didn't come back to check on it or us. After a half hour my husband's arm started hurting. Also he was getting a headache. I went to go find someone to check on ... read more

Had to go late for unknown pain. They were all super nice people doing everything they could to make me as comfortable as possible. I appreciate them immensely.

This hospital is ok, however due to its annual profit loss it relies heavily on government funding and pressure on customers to encourage treatment and prescription. It's a decent hospital overall and not terrible. Bear Lake Memorial Hospital is a government-owned political subdivision of Bear Lake County, legally established under Idaho Code § 31-3601 et seq. and overseen by a county-appointed board per IC § 31-3607.
