My friends and I had the best time at Spacious Skies Bear Den recently. The campsite was amazing, the cabins were very cozy, and the facilities were super clean. Vicky in the front office was awesome as well. I recommend taking a short drive to the North Toe River to do some trout fishing. I have absolutely no complaints and will definitely be back soon.
Amazing campground! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Vicky and Jackson are fantastic! Will visit again sometime for sure.
I absolutely love it here. The trails are the best part! You can make it all the way to the waterfall, or just go partway up and turn around, and still get a good hike in! The stars seen at night here at this campground are unbelievable. I’ve done both tent camping and have also rented the beautiful cabins. There’s plenty of things for the kids to do, including an arcade. We’ll be going back again and again :)
Campground is ok but they do not communicate with guests about whether there are water/ electric hookups at the multi family campsite but especially about the DEATH TRAP lurking north of the campground. Do NOT use the Blue and Orange trail north of the campground at this time. They are UTTERLY unusable and EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I realize there is a disclaimer about them but it is not clear what it applies to and does not communicate sufficiently the danger of these trails in the unusable condition they are in. We had several wonderful years at Bear Den but this year we came home with bed bugs, as did another family in our group. We stayed in the cozy cabins. The office did not reply to my voicemail letting them know. This is our first experience with bed bugs and we have not been able to get rid of them on our own so now we have to have an exterminator treat them. It's been a nightmare. Unfortunately we will not be back to Bear Den after this.
