Great Family Slope Formerly Doe Mountain, what a difference! The renovations are fabulous. This is a true resort with Spa, Skiing, elegant rooms and dining. We were here for my 25Th class reunion. Everything was wonderful and we will be making a return trip.
good local ski resort Bear Creek is a nice resort that's usually not too crowded. It's a little on the small side, which is the only reason I give it the 3 star satisfactory rating. If you are more of an expert skier, then this is probably not the place for you, but it's great for beginner through intermediate skiers. The learn to ski packages are especially good, as I have found them cheaper than others learn to ski places in the area , and you dont' need a big mountain to learn. ski My family had a good time at bear creek. I like the food. Very busy place, but one could have a good time. I did the half morning lesson, and before I knew it, I was skiing on my own. The staff was great and very patient with me during the ski lessons.
Bear Creek Bear Creek, formerly Doe Mountain, is a convenient ski area to souteast Pennsylvania. The lodge is a reasonable size and the rentals are good. The trails are okay, but were not as challenging as I would like. This is a good place to learn to ski and to hone beginner and intermediate skills. The area has reasonable rates and is a good place to spend a night or a day.
