This was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had. A nurse repeatedly spoke to me in a demeaning way, referring to me as “an alcoholic” and saying it was “her floor” and she could remove me at any time. When I waited for my medication, she became irritated, accused me of yelling, and continued to talk down to me despite me quietly reading in the TV room. I’ve been to many detoxes. This by far is the worst. It’s clear they r cutting corners everywhere to maintain their profits. Where do I begin? The TVs barely work. There is ONE remote for all the TVs and people are constantly looking for it, yelling “who got the remote” and when you actually find it, it’s cracked and held together by a rubber band.
