Frequently stay using VRBO type homes. This home was well appointed and very updated. Host was responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Would highly recommend this home for an extended stay. Have reserved our extended stay again for next year.
From the moment we opened the front door and saw the breathtaking scenery out the back, we knew our stay was going to be extraordinary. The cleanliness of the house along with the amenities made us feel right at home immediately. We made the most of our stay at Beacon House by taking in some local cuisine and shopping in Blowing Rock, ziplining, enjoying the winery near Grandfather Mountain and walking the mile high suspension bridge. Beacon House at Blowing Rock is a beautifully renovated home with a spectacular mountain view. It was a perfect home for a vacation with long-time friends. We loved the space in the open living area and had all the amenities we could want for a very relaxed visit together. We enjoyed the area too - shopping and eating in Blowing Rock, and a great day trip hiking at Grandfather Mountain then enjoying live music at Grandfather Vineyard and Winery. Beacon Hill is a true retreat. The location is perfect - neighborhood is private & quiet - but it's just a few minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and our fave hiking spot- Moses Cone. The beds are heavenly, the furniture comfy (and beautiful!), kitchen is appropriately stocked, and both the large island & dining table are designed & situated perfectly (for visiting & views).
