This experience happened on Cape Cod. Our mother in end stage Parkinson’s was denied care from this hospice. She was bedridden, had trouble swallowing and had lost all of her mobility and most of her ability to feed herself. I spent 2.5 hours with their admissions nurse who had never done a nursing home admission and it was a waste of my time as ultimately their medical director ordered a blood test and based on those results denied her.
