I don’t think I’ve ever loved a hotel until now, but this place is hands down the best. The whole experience was just exceptional. The staff were the most friendly I’ve ever encountered. My family stayed the night before our cruise and for 2 days after to hang out post vacation and visit NASA. Where to begin… The value here is incredible. **AVOID BEACHSIDE HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!** Booked through Hotels.com with "pay on arrival." Apparently, my *expired* card (my bad, didn't realize) caused them to try charging me at 9:45 AM *before* my arrival. Then, they CANCELED my room during my 6.5-HOUR ROAD TRIP! They called and gave me a ridiculous TWO-HOUR ultimatum to update payment or lose my booking. What's the point of "pay on arrival" then?! Clearly, they're CROOKS. I am not a hotel snob but there is no way this place is 4.2 stars. It's not on the beach it's on a busy road. The rooms are dirty and the bathroom is gross, dirty and has mold. I had to fix the toilet upon arrival. The flush handle didn't work and the toilet seat was falling off. This place is on par with a bad Motel 6 and should be priced at $120 a night or less.
I enjoyed the stay. Some of the times i just want a nice hotel and not much else. Other times I feel happier spending less money on the stay that is good enough and enjoy just being outside for whatever reason doing more walking or outdoor lounging and this place is that concept. I think the lazy river pool originally was a rehabilitatioal concept of a safe way to exercise walking in the water to improve body movement.
